While choosing a skimboard it’s clever to go about using one which fits you level of expertise. Whereas skimboarding is a board that some have mastered and their skill will help them get ahead of the game for learners this may not be so. They want more assist and support to get the precise balance, etc. Therefore one who’s just staring out and has not has enough publicity to the game, it is sensible to pick a board that has been designed for a beginner.

These are idea for utilization within the sand. They value to the tune of $120 but should you have been to purchase them online or on a discount you might even end up saving practically 30%. That’s plenty of cash saved whereas purchasing such sports equipment. When on the lookout for observe boards then one ought to search for intermediate skimboards. These are made for heavier individuals and have a higher weight bearing capacity. It’s wiser for individuals who intend to apply for longer durations in the sand to make use of these intermediate skimboard because of the benefit of maneuverability and the durability with which it withstands the abrasive sand particles. Such boards weigh as much as 130 kilos and can be found for almost $200. As talked about earlier, web purchases are cheaper and also you get a greater deal whereas procuring online.

For people who have superior ability and expertise the advanced skimboard is the best option. These are crafted for precise steadiness and super performance. The power can also be enhanced when one makes use of such a skimboard. These are more expensive and cost to the tune of $300. Sure, as is the case at all times, internet purchases work out to be cheaper and hence more useful as you start to climber greater in hierarchy of efficiency skimboard. The premium skimboards are made especially for people fascinated about competitions, etc. They are designed to offer the rider extra comfort whereas on the board. They’re also made to soak up shock and allow for longer distance and lesser flex whereas on the board.

These boards could be the most expensive ones and are for people who are very serious concerning the sport. They value round $500 and therefore have to be purchased and handled with care. There are many accessories that go together with such skimboards. You can look up such equipment online as well. The skimboard bag and skimboard traction are common accessories.

Climate change refers to change in the climate and atmospheric conditions of a particular region or area. This change in climate can be because of uncontrollable changes in or around earth or can be caused by human activities. With recent rise in the temperature of earth’s surface due to global warming, it is correct to state that one of the byproducts of Warming is Climate Change.

There is no denial to the fact that the climate of earth all across is changing every day. This is the consequence of continuous warming up of earth and atmosphere around it. The main reason is excess of carbon dioxide and gases like methane and nitrous oxide in the atmosphere. These gases are called greenhouse gases and are the reason for rising green house effect on earth. These gases have the capability to trap the heat and not allow heat to go outside the earth’s atmosphere. Hence, they result in more warming.

Global Warming is increasing day by day because of lot of natural and manmade circumstances. With so much of pollution and deforestation all across the globe, It is rapidly increasing. With more and more release of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere around earth, the temperature is also rising. Is it alarming? Well, the answer is yes.

          ]]>

Let us face it that climate change can be life threatening if earth is not able to adjust to it. Due to deforestation, a lot of species of plants, birds and animals are becoming extinct. Due to water pollution, a lot of water species are vanishing. With so much of imbalance in natural activities around, it is impossible to avoid climate change. Plants and trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere; make the air pure for us to breathe. However, we are only cutting them down. We should also grow trees and plants to ensure that the damage done by cutting down the trees is taken care of.

Glaciers are melting due to It and its effect of climate change. With global warming glaciers, lot of places all across the world can get merged under water. We cannot deny the fact that with melting glaciers, the sea levels will also rise. Natural calamities are hints which are given to mankind to beware them of the worst. Are we ready to face this? Well, we are still wondering how to control Global Warming. Global climate change is a threat to all. Countries are trying to invent ways to control it so that we can be healthy and alive in future.

If statistics are to be believed, then the temperature across globe is on rise. 1990s is recorded as the decade for rise in temperature. It is recorded as the warmest decade in almost thousand years. With raise in temperature degrees, extinct animals, plants and trees, melting glaciers, heat waves, it is becoming more and more important to start the fight with aggression against Global Warming.

What causes the greenhouse effect? It is caused when the surface of the earth is warmed by water vapor and carbon dioxide and other trace gases in the atmosphere. The sun’s light gives heat to the earth’s surface and it is, in part radiated back into the atmosphere forming infrared radiation. This infrared radiation is absorbed by the molecules of carbon dioxide and water vapor and returned to the surface of the earth giving the surface of the earth more heat. The name greenhouse is in fact incorrect, since a true greenhouse is heated by the sun through panes of glass and is retained within the greenhouse and not emitted anywhere else.

The greenhouse effect can be made more intense with the use of fossil fuels, nitrous oxide and methane produced by human activity. It is assumed that human’s produce one fifth of all of the carbon dioxide and methane found in the atmosphere.

Global change has been going on for a long time but, as the various gases mix global temperatures fluctuate. What is different about the current global warming is that it is contributed to by human activity and at a faster rate. The actual consequences of global warming are not certain however, climate models predict such as loss of forestry, polar shifts and a decrease in vegetation and animal populations, changing sea levels and drought.

          ]]>

Greenhouse gasses and global warming is one and the same thing. Since the late nineteenth century scientists knew that changes in the climate, on a global scale, could happen with the change of the composition of atmospheric gasses. In 1824 the comparison of the greenhouse gasses to the actual greenhouse and its retention of heat through the sun’s heating of the greenhouse panels were first mentioned by a French scientist, hence, the beginning of the term “Greenhouse effect.” In 1899, it was thought that water vapor might create a positive feedback in changes with carbon dioxide and linking this to glacial changes in atmosphere. The interest in stopping the greenhouse effect has become political as every nation sets goals for the reduction of greenhouse gasses.

Have you ever listened to discussions and read articles about global warming and wondered why the resource person or the writer appears so emphatic and urgent in their call for fighting it? Well that is because global warming is an urgent problem that needs immediate action and resolution before it gets worse and could spell the end of human life and civilization as we see it today.

Broadly speaking, global warming is the steady increase of the atmosphere’s and ocean’s average temperature. And before you go saying ‘Big deal’ to yourself and scoff at the near-catastrophic predictions made by scientists and advocates, consider first some of the expected effects of global warming to our environment and to our very lives.

One of the most pronounced effects of global warming would be glacial retreat, in which glaciers in the Arctic region may be steadily melting. This translates to elevation of sea levels all over the world, raising concerns over obliteration of small islands and even countries. Global warming is also attributed to influence precipitation, leading to the possibility of increased flooding in some parts of the world and increased drought elsewhere. What’s scary about these projected changes is the complete inability of man to counteract and prevent them once these events start happening.

          ]]>

But then again, global warming effects are not solely manifested in the environment. Consider the effect of increased drought and flooding to food supply, and ultimately, to food consumption. Agriculture is one large sector expecting to bear the worst of the brunt of global warming, with lesser and lesser produce and crops expected to be harvested in the next decade or so. Now that is really scary, considering we all get a large portion of our food supply from farms.

Weather experts are also predicting extreme weather events due to global warming, ranging from severe snowstorms to intense cyclones and hurricanes in tropical areas.

The increase in the average temperature of oceans in our planet also means dwindling in the supply of our other food source. The rest of the world might not come to realize how fragile most of the sea organisms are and expected changes in temperature would bring about extinction to most of them. Carbon dioxide, the main culprit of global warming, is also expected to acidify ocean waters, leading to more extinction and disruption of the food web.

It is also worth considering the impact of global warming on human health as well. With increasing surface temperature, heat waves are expected to occur more frequently, possibly endangering children and the elderly. Many pathogens proliferate much faster in warm environment. Increasing atmospheric temperature could very well mean faster proliferation of these pathogens that would cause numerous diseases and illnesses to humans. There is also expected spread of fatal tropical diseases as the world becomes warmer and warmer, placing those living in temperate regions at higher risks.

The mentioned risks and dangers are but overviews of the complexity and gravity of the problem that is global warming. A lot of resources and references have been published and produced on the subject matter and it’s time people should sit up and make effort to learn more. With increasing knowledge and understanding, the fight against global warming would no longer seem to be overwhelming and insurmountable. And as cliché as it may sound, this is one fight nobody can ever win alone, so concerted efforts are certainly needed and cooperation from all sectors would be very much welcome.

                Dangers of global warming

Adam: Hi, my name is Adam. I’m here today with Steve Soreno, the author of the Global Warming Survival Bible, Surviving and Prospering with Climate Change. How are you today?

Steve: I’m excellent, thanks.

Adam: Steve, your book contemplates the dangers of global warming but gives more attention to the survival aspect and what people can do in the future to survive and prosper. Why is that?

Steve: Well, global warming is a serious threat, no doubt, and humanity has to correct it, but us as individual people have to, above all, look at how to survive it.

Adam: Right … and to start things off, what are some of the dangers from Global Warming?

Steve: First of all, there are the direct dangers of climate changes. Freshwater has already started to disappear in some places, but in the future it will be eliminated from roughly 33 percent of the world’s surface, putting further restrictions on an already delicate resource.

          ]]>

Polar ice will disappear, which will cause less sunlight to be reflected back into the atmosphere, and therefore cause the Earth to warm up even more. In addition, methane under the permafrost would escape into the atmosphere, multiplying the calamity further. Hurricanes in the Eastern United States, Gulf of Mexico, Pacific Islands, Bay of Bengal and Caribbean will be much stronger than even Hurricane Katrina was. The tipping point for the melting of Greenland will be reached.

Adam: And what does this mean to people?

Steve: It means that they have to protect themselves from a number of threats. In simple words:

- Don’t be among the millions that record heat waves will kill.

- Avoid low-lying regions that will start to feel the effects of sea level rise.

- Don’t be left in an area that depends on water supply from rivers fed by glaciers that will disappear in the next 10 or 20 years, because these rivers will begin to dry up and hundreds of millions of people will be left without water

- And generally, know how the future will be affected by global warming and prepare for it.

I keep repeating ‘be prepared’ because that’s what we hope as many people as possible will do.

Adam: Wow, thank you for the great advice Steve.

I live in a wonderful suburban community on Long Island. My three children attend the excellent public schools in our district. As the two oldest children have made their way through middle school, though, I’ve been bothered by the rather flimsy instruction they’ve received on the subject of “global warming.” Despite widespread divergence among scientists and reports of questionable scholarship in landmark global warming studies, my children (and, presumably, their classmates and millions of other young students) have been taught a standard, one-sided view of “global warming.” Both my 14 year-old daughter and 11 year-old son have been shown Al Gore’s movie An Inconvenient Truth in sixth grade, but have been given nothing to suggest that some of the information in the movie is either controversial or misleading. So I’ve decided to put together this bullet point compendium of information discussing the current status of the “global warming” debate.

1. Global warming is when near surface and water temperatures on earth rise. Scientists believe there are many factors involved in the earth’s temperature changes, some of which are natural and have little or nothing to do with human activity (e.g. atmospheric processes like clouds and precipitation systems, the variability associated with phenomena like El Nino and the Pacific Decadal Oscillation). But an approximately 1 degree Fahrenheit increase in average temperatures over the last 100 years has put the focus of scientists and funding agencies on “greenhouse gases” (carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane), some of which are emitted by humans. These gases can trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature.

2. The claim that the earth is warming, that the warming is due to man’s emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), and that continued emissions will lead to catastrophe gained major media attention during the hearings of then-U.S. Senator Al Gore’s Committee on Science, Technology and Space in 1988. At those hearings Director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies James Hansen claimed with” 99 percent certainty” that temperatures were rising due to a human-influenced “greenhouse effect.”

3. The same year as the Gore hearings, the United Nations established the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to assess “the scientific, technical and socioeconomic information relevant for the understanding of the risk of human-induced climate change.” The IPCC prepared four reports and a Summary for Policymakers. The last report was completed in 2007. Together, the reports contained the following conclusions:

Global warming is occurring. Global surface temperature increased between .32 and 1.33 degrees Fahrenheit during the 20th century.
“Anthropogenic [man made] climate change will persist for many centuries.”
The full range of projected temperature increase is between 2 to 11.5 degrees Fahrenheit by the end of the 21stcentury.
The increase in global temperatures are a result of human activities, primarily the burning of fossil fuels (Coal, oil, natural gas) for energy.
Given current trends, temperature extremes, heat waves, and heavy precipitation events will continue to escalate in frequency; and the earth’s temperature and seas will continue to rise into the next millennium.

4. The IPCC’s Summary for Policymakers (first issued in 1999) featured a graph displaying an unprecedented surge in 20th-century temperatures that looked like a hockey stick lying on the floor with its blade pointed up. Prior centuries’ temperatures appear flat, with a severe spike in the 20th-century.

5. Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the IPCC, shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore, whose 2006 movie, An Inconvenient Truth, relied on the findings of the IPCC. Gore’s film won the 2007 Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature and Best Original Song.

6. The IPCC identified the burning of coal, oil and natural gas as the primary culprits in rising carbon emissions over the past 150 years, dating back to roughly the start of the industrial revolution. Policy proposals to reduce carbon dioxide emissions contained in such international efforts as the Kyoto protocols, the Copenhagen Climate Conference (2009), and in “cap and trade” schemes, massively restructure economic systems and expand government’s ability to regulate and control energy usage.

1. In mid-November of 2009 there appeared a file on the internet containing thousands of emails and other documents from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in Great Britain (CRU). The CRU supplied many of the authors for the IPCC reports. The file was quickly authenticated and provided unambiguous evidence that the CRU and associated research scientists throughout the world engaged in the unethical suppression of information and opposing viewpoints, data manipulation, and collusion. This event has become known as “climategate.”

          ]]>

2. Climategate has mushroomed into a crisis affecting an entire scientific discipline. At the heart of this crisis is the “hockey stick” graph produced by Dr. Michael Mann of Penn State University, a co-conspirator in the leaked emails. After being given data by another scientist showing a mid-to-late 20th century decline in temperatures, Mann responded in a September 22, 1999 email to the CRU, that it was a “problem and a potential distraction/detraction.” So Mann deleted the embarrassing post-1960 portion of the data. The CRU’s director Phil Jones applauded Mann’s deceptions in an e-mail in which he crowed over “Mike’s Nature trick,” which also included a “method” of flat lining the medieval “warming period.”

3. An independent study by a team of mathematicians was requested by the U.S. congress and headed by Dr. Edward J. Wegman. The Wegman study thoroughly discredited the Mann “hockey stick” research because of invalid use of statistical techniques and found that the conclusions by Mann could not be supported.

4. Along with the manipulated “hockey stick” graph, the British government concluded that the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit violated the nation’s freedom of information act by withholding information requested by other, presumably critical, scientists.

5. In 2010, Graham Cogley, a professor of geography and glaciers at Trent University in Peterborough, Canada, brought to the world’s attention the IPPC claim that warming will cause the Himalayan glaciers to disappear by 2035. It turned out that that claim was based solely on a pamphlet published by the World Wildlife Federation, not on any objective data.

6. Similarly, the Times of London reported that a claim that warming could endanger “up to 40 percent” of the Amazon rainforest came from an anti-smoking activist and had no scientific basis.

7. In a report to the United Nations in 2010, more than 1,000 dissenting scientists challenged man-made global warming claims made by the IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore. This 320page Climate Depot Special Report was updated from 2007?s U.S. Senate Report of over 400 scientists who voiced skepticism about the so-called global warming “consensus.”

8. The InterAcademy Council, a consortium of national scientific academies, scolded the U.N.’s IPCC for downplaying uncertainties about global warming, failing to point out when its claims were based on weak evidence and misrepresenting some findings as peer-reviewed by scientists, when they weren’t.

9. An independent group of scientists called the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change, issued a report called Climate Change Reconsidered, which said the IPCC reports are “marred by errors and misstatements, ignores scientific data that were available but were inconsistent with the authors’ pre-conceived conclusions, and has already been contradicted in important parts by research published since May 2006.”

1. CO2 is a benign gas essential to life, occurring in past eras at five times present levels. Changes in atmospheric CO2 do not correlate with human emissions of CO2, the latter being entirely trivial in the global balance. Oceans are the primary contributors of CO2 in the atmosphere.

2. According to Larry Bell, a professor at the University of Houston and the author of Climate of Corruption: Politics and Power Behind the Global Warming Hoax, the abnormally high temperatures experienced on earth in the last century has been going on for 15,000 to 18,000 years, a “life-friendly period known as an interglacial cycle, long before man-made inventions of agriculture, smokestacks, and SUVs.”

3. Prof. Bell explains that temperatures are probably about the same today as during a “Roman Warm Period” slightly more than 2,000 years ago, and much warmer than the “Dark Ages” that followed. They are cooler than the “Medieval Warm Period” about 1,000 years ago when “Eric the Red and his Icelandic Viking tribe settled on grasslands of Greenland’s southwestern coast, and much warmer than about 400 years ago when the Northern Hemisphere plunged into depths of a `Little Ice Age.’”

4. According to Robert B. Laughlin, co-winner of the 1998 Nobel Prize in Physics: climate change over geologic time is something the earth has done “on its own without asking anyone’s permission or explaining itself.” Glacial episodes have occurred “at regular intervals of 100,000 years,” always “a slow, steady cooling followed by abrupt warming back to conditions similar to today’s.”

5. The past

Dogs are very sweet and constant animals. These animals once trained correctly are a minimum of any human. They’ll do all the pieces once they have been trained. Whether or not it is caring for special people, the disabled, kids or even the aged they excel at all guiding them and being there for them. Not solely this if trained correctly they’re even good security canine, some are even working in the armed forces and police departments. These are very special animals and should be taken care of just as they maintain us. I had a buddy whose canine would take care of her daughter even when she was ill.

That`s something that you simply cannot expect from different animal categories. Well then to get dogs to do what you need them to do and be disciplined, they should be educated well. So how then are you able to prepare them? There has been a revolutionary invention made called the canine training collars. These collars are made to train dogs. They can be utilized for all types of canine, whether or not they’re small or giant, tiny or big, all might be educated utilizing these dog training collars.

Allow us to see how this collar works? The Canine training collars are made in such a means that they’ve a remote that you’ll use to cease the dog from misbehaving. So what it’s a must to do is, simply put the collar on the dog. When he’s not behaving the way in which you want him to or if he isn’t listening to you then all you do is press the remote button and the dog will get a small shock from the bark collar.

It will stop him from doing what he’s doing. If he is stopped from doing one thing and gets a shock every time he does that he will stop doing that completely. For instance to bathroom train your dog you should give him a shock (this does not harm the canine) each time he dirties inside the house or in the garden. This way he will soon notice that he should go to the toilet only when he’s taken for a stroll or when he’s outside. Similarly you should use the collar to train him for different things as well. So go to your nearest retailer or online whatever you favor and take a look at available provides to purchase dog training collars to your canines today.

Global warming is not a 20th century phenomenon. It has, in fact, occurred in the past more than once, along with periods of extreme cold known as the ice ages. With so much written and reported about global warming, sometimes it’s difficult to detect which is fact and which is just part of scientific scare tactics. Here are some facts about global warming that might help:

What exactly is global warming?

Global warming is basically the increase in the temperatures of the Earth’s atmosphere, land masses and oceans. The Earth’s surface temperature is at an average of 59F and over the last hundred years, this figure has risen to about 1F. By the year 2100, the average change in the temperature of the Earth could range from 2.5F to about 10F, enough to melt glaciers and polar ice caps.

The cause of global warming

Global warming has and will always occur naturally. Why it has become such a concern in our lifetime is due to the fact that human activities and practices have contributed significantly to its occurrence and severity. With the advent of industrialization and careless environmental practices, we have caused the increase in the average global temperatures by contributing negatively to the greenhouse effect.

This began about 240 years ago, when the Industrial Revolution was born. As more and more fossil fuels in the form of oil were mined and burned, gases as the by-product of that process began to be released in the atmosphere. Currently, it is estimated that 75% of the increase in the carbon dioxide content of the Earth’s atmosphere is caused by the burning of these fossil fuels.

Global warming and the greenhouse effect

Global warming is related to changes in the Earth’s greenhouse effect. Gases naturally occur in the Earth’s atmosphere and act both to protect and retain heat. These gases include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and water vapor. Of these, water vapor is the most dominant and abundant greenhouse gas.

          ]]>

Global warming and the greenhouse effect are not the same thing. The greenhouse effect refers to a natural process that occurs in the Earth’s atmosphere. If this process is disrupted, then it could contribute to global warming.

As the sun’s rays hit the Earth, heat is bounced back to the atmosphere where these gases contain the heat and keep it there to warm the planet. This is an important natural process and allows life forms to flourish and survive. Problems only occur when these gases multiply and build-up, containing heat too efficiently and thus warming the Earth’s atmosphere.

As the Earth’s average temperature rises, effects in its landmasses and sea water level become apparent. Polar ice caps melt along with glaciers, contributing to higher and warmer sea levels. By the end of the century, it is estimated that sea levels can increase from 4 inches to a high of about 40 inches if global warming continues unabated.

Global warming can also affect the behavior of the winds and can also contribute to a harsher and drier climate, with frequent visitings of strong hurricanes. Water from heavier rainfall will not stay long to irrigate the land, however because with a warmer climate, water on the Earth’s surface will evaporate quickly. This has a significant effect on agricultural practices not only in the US but also for the rest of the world.

Another phenomenon that is equated with global warming is the El Nino. The El Nino phenomenon has occurred for possibly thousands of years and is not caused directly by global warming. However, changes in the average temperature of the planet can contribute to its severity and frequency.

Other human practices that contribute to global warming

The agricultural revolution has also contributed to global warming. As more and more communities need lands converted from forests to residential and commercial areas, biomass is reduced, contributing to the increase in the presence of carbon dioxide in those regions. Since carbon dioxide is processed by plants and trees, their absence contributes to its increase.

It is estimated that about 25% of the annual increase in the carbon dioxide found in the Earth’s atmosphere is caused by extreme changes and usage of the Earth’s natural resources. Other practices also include deforestation, salinization, desertification and overgrazing also contribute to global warming. However, many scientists surmise and agree that the contribution is slight and indirect.

Facing the facts of global warming

Countries all over the world have just begun to acknowledge the negative effects of global warming not only to the world’s politics and economy but also to humankind in general. Many of the world’s governments have encouraged implementation of measures to try to counteract the problem of global warming through careful measures and practices designed to protect and respect the environment.

How these measures will fare and contribute to the long-term maintenance of our planet, though, remains to be seen.

Are you a believer of Global warming or not? Or are you one of the cynics yet to be convinced? Well both have a part to play in the Global Warming arena debate. The whole issue is surrounded by facts and figures but when these facts and figures are looked at it is very difficult to prove them with science, so you end up with hearsay.

Global warming from our point of view is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s near-surface air and oceans.

When you observe all the different global warming myths that are published in various publications, online, TV, and radio you will understand the issue with conflicting information. Because of these global warming myths come in many forms it is essential to understand the causes of global warming, and the facts attached to those myths.

MYTH: Water vapour is the most important, abundant greenhouse gas. So if we’re going to control a greenhouse gas, why don’t we control it instead of carbon dioxide?

FACT: Water vapour does trap more heat than carbon dioxide (CO2), but as CO2 levels increase in the atmosphere, they lead to warmer conditions, which lead to more water vapour in the air, which leads to even warmer conditions, thus a never ending cycle. Because of this relationship between CO2, water vapour and climate, to fight global warming nations must focus on controlling CO2.

          ]]>

MYTH: Global warming reduces as the ozone hole shrinks.

FACT: Global warming and the ozone hole are two separate issues.

MYTH: Global warming is not occurring due to some glaciers and ice sheets are expanding and not shrinking.

FACT: In most parts of the world, the shrinking of glaciers and ice caps have been dramatic. The best available scientific data indicate that Greenland’s massive ice sheet is shrinking.

MYTH: So what if global warming is a problem, trying to fix it will affect American industry and workers.

FACT: A well thought out trading program will harness American ingenuity to decrease heat-trapping pollution cost-effectively, jumpstarting a new carbon economy.

MYTH: The cold winters and cool summers that have been happening of late are not the effects of global warming, and are infrequent events.

FACT: While it is true that different areas of country’s have experienced some colder winters here and there, between them the average temperature has ben on the up.

MYTH: We can adapt to climate change. Civilizations have survived droughts and temperature shifts in the past.

FACT: Although it is true that the human race has survived an onslaught of drought and prolonged warmth along with the bitter cold and more, entire societies have collapsed from dramatic climatic shifts.

MYTH: Global warming along with extra CO2 will be beneficial, they reduce cold related deaths and stimulate crop growth.

FACT: Any beneficial effects will be far outweighed by damage and disruption.

MYTH: Global warming is just part of the worlds natural cycle. The Arctic has warmed up in the past as it is doing now.

FACT: The global warming we are experiencing is not natural. People are causing it.

While the global warming myth story is interesting, it does reduce the impact of the facts. But as they say “Truth is stranger than fiction.” The many myths on global warming doing the rounds are based on global warming statistics, just with a different view point.

It is always best, as with everything, to look at the global warming myth with an open mind. There is always two sides to every coin, so explore both before making your full opinion.

Perhaps this article on global warming myth with strike a chord with you and will inspire further reading into the subject.

                Is global warming real?

Adam: Hi, my name is Adam. I’m here today with Steve Soreno, the author of the Global Warming Survival Bible, Surviving and Prospering with Climate Change. How are you today?

Steve: I’m excellent, thanks.

Adam: Is global warming real? How real?

Steve: Global warming is a threat. It has the power to not only change our entire future, but to destroy our civilization as we know it.
If the 20th century was the century of nuclear obliteration, then the 21st century is the century of global warming. All the mistakes made in the 20th century with the environment are now compounding themselves in this century. Over the next 90 years, the entire shape of the world and our civilization will change.

          ]]>

With nuclear bombs, someone has to push the button. If no one pushes the button, the bombs do not fly. Well, the global warming button has been pushed every single day, over and over, for more than 100 years.
Global warming is happening. It has been quantifiably measured by scientists. It has been confirmed by thousands of the world’s leading climatologists, and it is changing the world as we speak.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, seven of the eight warmest years on record have occurred since 2001. And the 10 warmest years on record have all occurred since 1995 and that is solid proof that global warming is real.

Adam: And if you can please give us your view on why is global warming bad?

Steve: Well, there is a truth to global warming that people don’t think about.
Scientists have shown that the Earth has survived asteroid impact events, methane explosions, solar flares and countless disasters. The species on the Earth have not. Roughly 99 percent of all the species that have ever lived are now extinct. Humans may be added to that list if we don’t take drastic, individual measures to protect what we have and to survive. The good news is that many people will survive and will thrive in the future. And it’s important to us that as many people as possible prepare for the future, probable troubles and instead of pain they have a happy successful life
